The gold market in Nepal has reached a new milestone with a significant price surge on August 21, 2024. As per the latest update from the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association (FENEGOSIDA), the price of fine gold has escalated to Rs. 1,53,000 per tola. This represents a notable increase of Rs. 800 from the previous day’s price of Rs. 1,52,200 per tola.
Tejabi gold has also seen a substantial rise, now trading at Rs. 1,52,300 per tola, up by Rs. 800 from yesterday’s rate of Rs. 1,51,500 per tola.
This surge comes after a recent peak in fine gold prices, which had reached Rs. 1,52,600 per tola on August 18, 2024. The continuous rise in prices underscores the market’s volatility.
In addition to gold, silver prices have also increased, climbing by Rs. 15 per tola to reach Rs. 1,835 per tola, compared to Rs. 1,820 per tola the previous day.
While domestic gold and silver prices are on the rise, global economic conditions continue to play a significant role. The international gold price currently stands at $2,516.10 per ounce, with silver trading at $29.51 per ounce on the global market.
