The fine gold market in Nepal has witnessed a notable decline, with prices falling by Rs. 500 per tola. As per the latest update from the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association (FENEGOSIDA), the price of fine gold is now Rs. 160,500 per tola, down from its previous rate of Rs. 161,000 per tola.
Tejabi gold has also seen a similar decrease, now priced at Rs. 159,800 per tola, reflecting a Rs. 500 reduction from its earlier price of Rs. 160,300 per tola. This price drop follows a recent peak on October 4, 2024, when fine gold reached an all-time high of Rs. 161,300 per tola.
Silver prices have also dipped by Rs. 5 per tola, with the current price standing at Rs. 1,980 per tola, down from Rs. 1,985 the previous day.
The falling prices are in line with global market trends, where gold is trading at $2,643.00 per ounce, and silver at $31.94 per ounce.
