The fine gold market in Nepal has seen a notable decrease, with prices dropping by Rs. 1,400 per tola. According to the latest report from the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association (FENEGOSIDA), fine gold is now valued at Rs. 146,300 per tola, down from its previous rate of Rs. 147,700 per tola.
Tejabi gold has also experienced a similar price reduction, currently priced at Rs. 145,600 per tola, a decrease from its prior rate of Rs. 147,000 per tola.
This downward trend follows the recent peak on August 5, 2024, when fine gold reached an all-time high of Rs. 150,000 per tola. The price of silver has also dropped, with a reduction of Rs. 15 per tola, bringing the current market rate to Rs. 1,710 per tola from the previous day’s Rs. 1,725 per tola.
Both domestic and international markets are reflecting this downward trend. Globally, gold is priced at $2,392.60 per ounce, while silver is currently at $27.10 per ounce, showing negative momentum.
