The fine gold market in Nepal has seen a significant drop, with prices falling by Rs. 1,300 per tola. According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association (FENEGOSIDA), fine gold is now priced at Rs. 146,200 per tola, down from Rs. 147,500 per tola.
Tejabi gold has also experienced a similar decline, now valued at Rs. 145,500 per tola, which is Rs. 1,300 less than its previous closing price of Rs. 146,800 per tola.
This price reduction follows a peak on June 17, 2024, when fine gold reached an all-time high of Rs. 149,800 per tola.
Silver prices have also decreased by Rs. 20 per tola, with the current rate at Rs. 1,810 per tola, down from Rs. 1,830 per tola.
This downward trend is consistent with global market movements. Internationally, gold is trading at $2,400.80 per ounce, while silver is priced at $29.19 per ounce.
