The fine gold market in Nepal has seen a significant shift, with prices decreasing by Rs. 2,000 per tola. According to the latest report from the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association (FENEGOSIDA), fine gold is now valued at Rs. 147,500 per tola, down from the previous rate of Rs. 149,500 per tola.
Tejabi gold has also experienced a similar reduction, now priced at Rs. 146,800 per tola, a drop from its earlier price of Rs. 148,800 per tola. This decline follows a recent peak on June 17, 2024, when fine gold reached an all-time high of Rs. 149,800 per tola.
Silver Market Trends
In addition to gold, the price of silver has decreased by Rs. 30 per tola. The current market rate for silver stands at Rs. 1,830 per tola, compared to yesterday’s closing rate of Rs. 1,860 per tola.
Global Impact
This downward trend in precious metals is reflected both domestically and internationally. On the global market, gold is priced at $2,424.00 per ounce, while silver has also seen a decline, now trading at $29.51 per ounce.
