Fertiliser import from Dhaka delayed



There has been a delay in import of fertilisers the Nepal has purchased from .

It has been 18 days since an agreement between the governments of Nepal and Bangladesh for Nepal to purchase 50,000 metric tonnes fertilisers was reached.

In this regard, Nepal has already sent a letter of credit (L/C) to the government of Bangladesh. There has been a delay from Bangladesh in supplying fertilisers although Nepal has completed all the process, said the (AICL).

The AICL has sent a draft of the opening of L/C in Siddhartha to Bangladesh, said Managing Director of AICL, Netra Bahadur Bhandari.
