NEPSE Index Rises by 0.73%, Closes at 2,152.14 Points


The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) Index saw an increase of 15.79 points today, up 0.73%, closing at 2,152.14 points. This follows a loss of 4.62 points in the previous session.

The day started with the NEPSE index at 2,138.61 points, hitting an intraday low of 2,129.71 points and a high of 2,152.24 points before settling at the closing value.

A total of 316 stocks were traded today across 66,716 transactions, with a trading volume of 11,661,208 shares. The total turnover reached Rs. 5.53 Arba. The market capitalization was recorded at Rs. 34.13 Kharba, with a float market capitalization of Rs. 11.66 Kharba.

NRN Infrastructure and Development Limited (NRN) led the market in terms of turnover, achieving Rs. 19.77 Crores and closing at Rs. 735 per share.

Ganapati Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (GMFBS) and Aatmanirbhar Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (ANLB) hit the positive circuit for the day, each surging by 10%.

On the other hand, Siddhartha Investment Growth Scheme – 2 (SIGS2) experienced the highest loss, dropping by 5.47%.

Among sector performances, four sector indices ended in negative territory. The “Manufacturing and Processing Index” recorded the highest sectoral loss of 0.54%, while the “Microfinance Index” saw the highest gain, rising by 3.06%.
