Missed to apply for the right shares of UPPER
My father has 200 kittas of UPPER. I was constantly reminding him to apply for the right share over the last 1 month. However, he was too ignorant because he didn’t want to block the amount of 20k as there was plenty of time remaining to apply.
Today was the last day to apply for the right share of UPPER. He did apply it today morning though. However, it turned out that there wasn’t enough balance in his account. At around 3:45 pm, the bank messaged him that the right share application of UPPER is rejected due to insufficient funds and to maintain sufficient balance and reapply. He saw this message only after 5 pm and it’s too late now.
Is there any way, any solution for this? It would be a big loss if we lose those right shares.

Gold Prices Soar with Rs. 1000 Increase in a Single Day
The price of gold has risen by Rs. 1,000 per tola (fine gold) today when compared to the trading price on Sunday.
As reported by the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association (FENEGOSIDA), the current value of fine gold is Rs. 1,08,600 per tola, while Tejabi gold is priced at Rs. 1,08,100 today.
In contrast, on Sunday, fine gold was valued at Rs. 1,07,600 per tola, and Tejabi gold was priced at Rs. 1,07,100 per tola.

Nepal Reinsurance Distributes 4.75% Bonus Shares to Shareholders’ DEMAT Accounts
Nepal Reinsurance Company Limited has given its shareholders a 4.75% bonus share directly in their demat accounts. This action followed the company’s 18th Annual General Meeting on the 15th of Ashad, where a 5% dividend for the fiscal year 2078/79 was approved. Furthermore, during the 453rd board of directors meeting held on Baisakh 17, a decision was made to allocate 4.75% bonus shares and 0.25% cash dividend (for tax reasons) from the company’s paid-up capital of Rs. 12,23,25,00,000.

Closing Today: Public Issue of 10% Citizens Bank Debenture 2090
Citizens Bank International Limited (CZBIL) is concluding the issuance of 30,00,000 units of “10% Citizens Bank Debenture 2090” to the general public and institutions today, which is the 22nd Ashwin, 2080.
These debentures come with a 10-year maturity period and offer a 10% coupon rate. The application period for these debentures opened on the 17th Ashwin, 2080.
Out of the total 30 lakh units being issued, 60% or 18 lakh units are allocated for private placement, while the remaining 12 lakh units valued at Rs. 1.2 Arba are available for public subscription. Additionally, 5% of these units are reserved for mutual funds. This issuance is expected to generate a total of Rs. 3 Arba.

NEPSE Index Drops 48.25 Points in Two Days; NABIL Records Highest Turnover
In today’s trading, the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) Index closed at 1,908.66 points, showing a loss of 12.58 points or 0.65% from the previous day’s closing. It had dropped by 35.67 points the day before.
The trading day began with the index opening at 1,919.97, reaching a low of 1,902.87, and hitting a high of 1,926.72 during the day.
Throughout the trading session, there were 287 different stocks involved in 48,444 transactions. The total volume of shares traded was 4,327,179 units, resulting in a turnover of Rs. 1.17 Arba. The market capitalization amounted to Rs. 29.11 Kharba, with a float market capitalization of Rs. 10.24 Kharba.

Arun Kabeli Power Allots 100% Right Shares, Begins Refunds on Ashwin 24
Arun Kabeli Power Limited (AKPL) recently granted 1,65,37,288 units of right shares to its shareholders on 19th Ashwin. For those who did not receive these shares, the company will start refunding their money on 24th Ashwin, 2080.
To raise funds, the hydropower company initiated a 100% right shares offering from 11th Bhadra to 31st Bhadra, 2080. They issued 1,85,52,105 units of right shares valued at Rs. 1.85 Arba to their existing shareholders. As a result of this right share allocation, the company’s paid-up capital will increase to Rs. 3.89 Arba.
