There is no definite answer to this one. Some companies have taken 1+ years to complete the merger, while some less than 6 months.
NRB recently gave the attorney to SEBON to determine if companies under merger and/or acquisition need to halt their trading in NEPSE. So, the ball is now in SEBON’s court to determine how to proceed things forward. I have a feeling that rules will be relaxed – for example, in India similar scenarios are handled without halt in trading, except for a couple of days(AFAICT).
