    NSBD98, 9% Nepal SBI Bank Debenture 2089, Listed on NEPSE


    On Tuesday, September 30, 2023, Nepal SBI Bank (SBI) and the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) signed an agreement to list 9 Percent Debenture 2089 (NSBD98). As part of the agreement, 1,418,366 units of these debentures will be listed at a par value of Rs. 1000 per unit. Trading of these shares is expected to commence on Wednesday.

    The issue management for this listing was handled by NMB Capital Limited. The shares were officially listed on NEPSE on September 30, 2023, in accordance with existing regulations.

    In today’s Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) trading session, the NEPSE Index closed at 1,958.72 points, marking a significant loss of 17.56 points or 0.88% compared to the previous day’s close. It had gained 5.19 points the day before.

    The trading day began with the index opening at 1,977.83, reaching a low point of 1,954.13, and hitting a high of 1,978.27 during intraday trading.

    Throughout the day, there were 281 different stocks traded in 55,096 transactions. The total volume of shares traded was 3,965,917, resulting in a total turnover of Rs. 1.19 Arba. The market capitalization was at Rs. 29.86 Kharba, with a float market capitalization of Rs. 10.51 Kharba.

    For a long time, I have been selling a small number of stocks and buying some others. Regarding buying when I am buying I pay them immediately but while selling I ask them to send me like every day. So there is no due between us.

    Since I have been selling day by day. Should I ask (my broker) them to send me money all at once?

    I’ll go first. I think buying new shares is better because it diversifies your portfolio. Though you are already on a loss, the new stocks which you’ll buy will definitely cover it up given you do careful research. For instance, the shares that were previously high priced, that gave good returns, are now available for lower price. My two cents, what’s yours.

    There’s this constant need to surf the stock news websites or Meroshare to know about the IPO and FPO openings, so I built a chrome extension that displays the current openings and also the upcoming IPOs as well as FPOs. Now just add the extension to your browser and view the openings right from the browser extension.

    To install the extension on your Chrome or Brave (or other chromium browsers), follow the steps below:

    1. Go the link above and click on green Code button and click Download Zip to download the zipped folder to your computer. Then unzip it.
    2. Open your chrome browser or other chromium browser and go to Extensions options of your browser. On the top right corner enable the Developer mode.
    3. Click on Load unpacked option on the same page’s top left corner and select the unzipped folder from your computer.

    Now the extension should be added to your browser. Any time you want the view the IPO issues, click on the extension.
