    It’s important to note that for residents of Kaski District, if the IPO is not fully subscribed by the early closing date, it may be extended until Ashwin 17. However, this extension option does not apply to Nepalese citizens working abroad.

    The total issued capital of the company amounts to Rs. 1.91 Arba, and out of this, 10%, equivalent to 19,12,500 unit shares valued at Rs. 19.12 Crores, has been set aside for project-affected locals of Kaski District.

Local residents from the Dailekh District were eligible to apply for these shares between 7th Ashad and 5th Shrawan.     Avasar Equity Diversified Fund Invests in Two Hydropower Projects in Nepal’s Dolakha District


    Avasar Equity Diversified Fund, Nepal’s first domestic Private Equity Fund registered with the Securities Board of Nepal (SEBON), has recently entered into an investment agreement with Him Parbat Hydropower Limited. Under this agreement, the Fund will invest NPR 39.06 crore in the development of two Run-of-river hydropower projects in Dolakha District of Bagmati Province.

    The investment will be directed towards the Sagu Khola – 1 Hydropower Project, with a capacity of 5.5 MW, and the Sagu Khola Hydropower Project, with a capacity of 20 MW. Both projects have already concluded Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) on a take-or-pay basis. It is anticipated that the combined energy generation from these projects will amount to approximately 149 GWh per year.

    To connect the power generated by the projects to the national grid, a connection will be established through the Singati Substation. The projects have a target Commercial Operation Date set for Chaitra 29, 2081 (April 12, 2025).

    By providing financial support for these projects, the investment from Avasar Equity Diversified Fund aims to ensure their timely completion and contribute to Nepal’s commitment to clean and sustainable energy sources.

    Rawa Energy Development Limited has successfully completed the allotment of IPO (Initial Public Offering) shares to project-affected locals of the Khotang District. The allotment program concluded on 1st Jestha, 2080.

    The company’s total issued capital is Rs. 28 Crores, out of which 10%, equivalent to 2,80,000 unit shares worth Rs. 2.8 crores, were specifically allocated to project-affected locals of the Khotang District. The IPO had opened for subscription on 23rd Chaitra, 2079, with the original closing date set for 7th Baisakh, 2080. However, since the IPO did not receive full subscription by the initial closing date, the deadline was extended until 24th Baisakh, 2080. During the subscription period, locals had the opportunity to apply for a minimum of 10 shares and a maximum of 10,000 shares.

    According to the notice published today, Rawa Energy Development Limited has confirmed that the allotted units have been assigned to valid applicants on 1st Jestha, 2080. This completion of the allotment process marks an important step in involving project-affected locals from the Khotang District in the company’s operations.

    Upper Syange Hydropower Limited is offering shares to project-affected locals of the Lamjung District and Nepalese citizens working abroad. The IPO will be open from 1st Jestha to 16th Jestha, 2080, and if the issue is not subscribed by the early closing date for locals of Lamjung District, it can be extended till the 30th Jestha. However, the issue will not be extended from the early closing date for Nepalese citizens working abroad. The company’s issued capital is Rs. 22 Crores, and 10% i.e. 2,20,000 unit shares worth Rs. 2.2 crores have been allocated to project-affected locals of Lamjung District.

    29.55% of the company’s issued capital i.e. 650,000 unit shares will be issued later for the general public. Of this public issue, 10% of the shares totaling 65,000 units shares have been allocated for Nepalese citizens working abroad. The minimum application quantity for the project-affected locals is 10 units, while the maximum quantity is 100,000 units. Meanwhile, for Nepalese citizens working abroad, the minimum application quantity is 10 units, while the maximum quantity is 50,000 units.

    Siddhartha Capital Limited is the issue manager, and the promoter-public share ratio will be 60.45: 39.55 after this IPO. The issuer rating of Upper Syange Hydropower Limited has been reaffirmed as ‘CARE-NP BB (Is)’ by CARE Ratings Nepal Limited (CRNL), indicating a moderate risk of default regarding the timely servicing of financial obligations in Nepal.

    Upper Syange Hydropower is a Public Limited company that is setting up a 2.4 MW Run-of-River (RoR), Upper Syange Hydropower Project (USHP) in BOOT (Build, own, Operate, and Transfer) mechanism. It was incorporated on January 26, 2009, as Upper Syange Hydropower Private Limited and converted to Public limited on March 30, 2017. The project is located in the Lamjung district of Nepal and is promoted by both individual and institutional promoters from different backgrounds.
