How many of you are doing SIP on stocks ? What is the best strategy for doing it ? How do you select stocks for this ? What goals or for what time frame are you doing it ? Unlike SIP in mutual funds, since you have to manage it yourself, how hard is it to maintain the discipline ? Thank you

i have around 55k collected from ipo and some personal savings. i wanna start investing now as it seems we are at low point rn . where should i get started and i am willing to take risk till my 55k dips to 40k or i will keep adding around 10k monthly if it seems good. which sector or specific share are best option for beginner? also how long before we start seeing progress to around 2500 2600? months or years ? is going from 3000 to 1900 normal or was it unexpected and would take some years to get to around 3k or this 3k to 1900 cycle happens now and then? sorry if it hurts your brain i didnt research much before posting here.

**My dad wants to invest in stock using a loan as he is a retired government officer. But every time he visits Rastra Baniyjya Bank where he gets his pension amount from. Either the officers with proper knowledge of loan against pension are absent or they are unaware of recent changes. Can anyone please explain if it’s possible to take a loan against a pension in Nepal?**
**Thank you**

So as the title suggests I am an absolute beginner. My intention is rather than making quick bucks in a short time with buy low sell high I am looking for stocks to invest for the long run as in 7-8 years. If you guys could suggest me where or rather which shares to buy for the long run that’d be great help. I have a steady income for the time being so can invest like 30-40k each month. Thank you all!
