Is it a good time to invest in the Nepal Life Insurance Company(NLIC)?

NLIC is trading at Rs. 582. I am quite confused about whether to invest in NLIC because its eps is (-4.30) and pe is (-135.43) according to(nepsealpha). This company never had negative eps what happened to NLIC?

  1. The company’s earnings did not justify the way in which dividends were distributed a few years ago. The number of shares increased due to hefty bonus shares, but earnings fell, lowering their EPS. Their expenses are now greater than their earnings, resulting in a negative EPS.

The scrip already corrected more than 60% from its 52-week high. Still, I believe you should wait and watch, analyze a few quarters’ results and see whether fundamentals are improving, and decide whether to take positions.
