    Sagarmatha Lumbini Insurance Company Limited (SALICO) has listed 26,226,382 shares on the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) following a successful merger between Lumbini General Insurance Limited (LGIL) and Sagarmatha Insurance Company Limited (SIC).

    The merger agreement between SIC and LGIL was signed on 30 Ashad, 2079. The swap ratio for the merger was set at 100:80, resulting in a 20% decrease in the number of LGIL shareholders. After the merger, the total listed shares of SIC and LGIL combined amounted to 26,226,382 units.

    Following the successful merger, SIC and LGIL began conducting joint operations under the name Sagarmatha Lumbini Insurance Company Limited (SALICO) starting from Falgun 29, 2079. Consequently, the listed shares will be traded under the symbol “SALICO.”

    The opening price range for the initial transactions has been set at Rs. 599.12.

    Following the convening of its 6th Annual General Meeting on 11th Chaitra, Asha Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (ALBSL) has listed 4,77,020 unit bonus shares on the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE). The AGM had approved a 15% dividend for the fiscal year 2078/79, with the board of directors deciding to distribute 14.2857% bonus shares and 0.7143% cash dividend (for tax purposes) based on the paid-up capital of Rs. 33.39 Crores. The bonus shares have now been officially listed on NEPSE, and as of the latest update, ALBSL is trading at an Last Traded Price (LTP) of Rs. 670.

    The Nepalese Stock Exchange (NEPSE) experienced a decline today, with the index closing at 1,850.61, a decrease of 1.02% or 19.12 points from the previous trading day’s closing. The index had gained 12.73 points yesterday but suffered a loss today. The trading day opened at 1,870.41, and the intraday high was 1,872.22, while the intraday low was 1,848.80, closing at 1,850.61.

    During today’s trading, a total of 263 scrips were traded via 23,051 transactions, with 2,015,959 shares exchanged for a turnover of Rs. 60.81 crores. This was lower than the previous day’s turnover of Rs. 73.26 crores. Shivam Cements Ltd (SHIVM) had the most shares traded and the highest turnover of Rs. 3.22 crores, with a market price of Rs. 400 per share. Aatmanirbhar Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (ANLB) had the highest gain of 8.22% for the day, while NMB Debenture 8.50% – 2087/88 (NMBD87/88) suffered the highest loss of 8.83% for the day.

    All sector indices experienced a decline, with “Hydropower” experiencing the highest loss of 2.04%, while “Mutual Fund” had the least decline of 0.05%. Overall, the NEPSE index had a relatively tough trading day, with a decline in the index and the majority of the sector indices experiencing losses.

    NABIL Bank Limited Promotor Share (NABILP) was the most traded stock and had the highest turnover of Rs. 4.5 crores, closing at a market price of Rs. 474 per share. NIBL Growth Fund (NIBLGF) gained the highest 9.86% for the day, while NMB Debenture 8.50% – 2087/88 (NMBD87/88) lost the highest 5.85%.

    All sector indices closed in the green, with “Non-Life Insurance” gaining the highest 1.55%, and “Investment” gaining the least 0.32% today.

The decision was made after the company’s 21st Annual General Meeting (AGM) held on 19th Falgun, where a dividend of 21.05% worth Rs. 23.62 crores for the fiscal year 2078/79 was approved. This return was based on the paid-up capital of Rs. 1.12 Arba. The company’s board of directors had proposed a 15% bonus share and a 6.05% cash dividend (including tax) worth Rs. 16.83 crores and Rs. 6.79 crore, respectively, during the 403rd meeting held on Poush 27.

    Following the announcement, the bonus shares of SWBBL were made available for trading on NEPSE. The microfinance company had closed at Rs. 745 as of the previous day’s market close.     Ingwa Hydropower Limited has announced the closure of its IPO issuance of 12,68,639 unit shares with a face value of Rs. 100 per share. The issue, which opened on April 13, 2080, is oversubscribed by 8.64 times, with 994,624 applicants applying for a total of 10,964,750 units. The company intends to collect Rs. 12.68 crore from this IPO, with 70% of the shares belonging to promoter shareholders.

    Before this issuance, the company had allotted 306,840 units of its 6,00,000 unit shares worth Rs. 6 crores to project-affected locals in Taplejung District, with the remaining 293,160 units added to the 12,00,000 units reserved for the general public. Out of the total 14,93,160 units available to the general public, 120,000 units have already been allotted to Nepalese citizens working abroad, while 5% and 2% have been set aside for mutual funds and employees of the company, respectively. The remaining 12,68,639 units are for the general public, with a minimum application of 10 units and a maximum of 20,000 units.

    The IPO issuance is managed by Sunrise Capital Limited, while CARE Ratings Nepal Limited has assigned an issuer rating of ‘CARE-NP BB (Is)’ to Ingwa Hydropower Limited, indicating a moderate risk of default regarding timely servicing of financial obligations in Nepal. The company was incorporated on June 23, 2009, as a private limited company and was later converted into a public limited company on August 25, 2014. The company’s institutional promoters and individual businessmen in Nepal have promoted it to set up a 9.70 MW run-of-river, Upper Ingwa Khola hydroelectric project under the BOOT mechanism in the Panchthar district of Nepal.

    The NEPSE index experienced a loss of 1.01% and closed at 1,870.65 today, dropping by 19.11 points from the previous trading day’s closing. The index had also lost 2.27 points yesterday. The trading day started with an opening index of 1,889.41 and achieved an intraday high of 1,890.34. However, it reached an intraday low of 1,867.73 before ultimately settling at 1,870.65. During the trading day, 271 scrips were exchanged through 26,801 transactions, with a total of 3,206,450 shares worth Rs. 95.43 Crores in turnover, which was higher than the previous trading day’s turnover of Rs. 73.96 Crores. All sector indices closed in the red, with “Hydropower” experiencing the highest loss of 1.87%, while “Investment” had the lowest loss of 0.53% for the day.

    NEPSE has listed 59,68,135.55 unit bonus shares of Garima Bikas Bank Limited (GBBL).

    On Poush 22, the bank had its 16th AGM and approved a 14.5% dividend of Rs. 66.56 crores for fiscal year 2078/79. On Kartik 24, 2079, the board of directors voted to pay a 14.5% dividend on the paid-up capital of Rs. 4.59 Arba. There was a proposal for 13% bonus shares worth Rs. 59.68 crores and a 1.50% cash dividend (including tax) worth Rs 6.88 crores. NEPSE now lists the same bonus shares.
