The secondary market continues to set new highs, with the Nepse index rising to 3,094.94 points


The Nepal Stock Exchange (Nepse) index closed today at 3,094.94 points, up 15.3 points from the previous day’s close. This is the highest index close in Nepal’s capital market history. Yesterday, the old record was shattered.

The index began at 3,088.45 and quickly reached an intraday high of 3,111.28. It dropped as low as 3,076.04 closing at 3,094.94.

The amount was Rs 13.291 billion, with a total of 28,170,172 shares changing hands. This is a decrease from the previous day’s amount of Rs 15.17 billion.

The float index has gained 0.5 points to 215.79, while the Sensitive index has gained 0.02 points to 574.32.

United Hydropower Limited (UMHL) had the greatest turnover, with Rs. 38.61 crore, closing at Rs. 486 per share on the market. The most actively traded stocks were those of Hydro Power Company Limited (NHPC).
