The Nepal Bankers’ Association has announced a decrease in weekly lending and deposit figures  


The Nepal BankersR7; Association has released a comprehensive study on the deposit and loan trends in the country’s commercial banks, which is available online.

The entire deposit decreased by 43 billion in the first week of AshwinR7;s tenure, bringing the total deposit to 4,158 billion today. Local currency amount to 4,042 billion, with the remaining foreign currency deposits amounting to Rs. 16 billion.

Meanwhile, total loan stands at 3,706 billion, representing a decrease of Rs. 5 billion the prior week. Lending in local currency totals Rs. 3,550 billion, while lending in foreign currency totals Rs. 156 billion, according to the latest figures.
