On October 28, 2021, Hard Rock International (HRI), a worldwide recognized brand with 241 sites in 68 countries, formally inaugurated its franchise café in the heart of Kathmandu, Durbarmarg, for the first time.
Hard Rock Cafe Kathmandu held a press conference on Wednesday as part of their promotional event, during which Malcolm Chao (area vice president for Asia-Pacific, Hard Rock Cafe International) and Sanjib Tuladhar (local franchise partner of the cafe) expressed their excitement about bringing the franchise to Nepal.

Every day of the week, there will be live music, and on Saturdays, there will be an acoustic brunch. It also aspires to encourage the musical talents of the local community. According to the cafe’s management team, the facility has a capacity of 260 people for dining and other activities. The cafe offers a menu that is influenced by the United States as well as hand-crafted beverages. In addition, there is a special Hard Rock store where customers may purchase official Hard Rock items.
