The handicraft fair comes to a close with transactions totaling Rs 80 million.


The Federation of Handicraft Association of Nepal (FHAN) concluded its three-day 18th Handicraft Trade Fair and 16th Handicraft Competition on Sunday. The fair and competition were conducted by the Federation of Handicraft Association of Nepal (FHAN). According to the FHAN, a total of Rs 80 million worth of transactions took place at the event.

At the fair’s closing ceremony, Bagmati Province Chief Minister Rajendra Pandey stated that the province’s government would extend its support the growth and expansion of handicrafts, noting that Nepali handicrafts have a strong market in foreign nations, including the United States.

her part, Deputy Mayor of Kathmandu Metropolitan City Hari Prava Khadgi stated that the Metropolitan City would provide unwavering support for the development of Nepal’s handicraft industry.

Surendra Bhai Shakya, Chairman of the Federation of Handicrafts Associations of Nepal (FHAN), noted that the handicraft industry was critical the preservation of arts and cultures, as well as for export and job development in the country.
