The government has released a common minimum programme that prioritises combating Covid-19 and economic recovery.


The government unveiled its Minimum Policy and Programme (CMP) today, prioritising free COVID-19 vaccination for the people, completing the remaining tasks of the peace process, providing relief COVID-affected businesses and workers, amending the constitution in accordance with political parties’ agreement, and controlling inflation, among other things.

The CMP was unveiled in the presence of Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba, as of a programme attended by alliance leaders, government ministries, and other dignitaries.

Purna Bahadur Khadka, NC leader and coordinator of the alliance’s task team draught the CMP, read out the CMP, which contains 11 priorities.

The CMP was jointly unveiled by NC President and Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba, CPN (Maoist Center) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal โ€˜Prachanda, Janata Samajwadi Party, Nepal Chairman Upendra Yadav, and Rashtriya Janamorcha Chair Chitra Bahadur KC.
