Pampha Bhusal, the Minister of Energy, Water Resources, and Irrigation, is working on a policy to provide particular services to individuals living in poverty.
She stated at a press briefing held at the Ministry on Monday that such persons will receive free electricity.
She stated, “Energy is the raw substance for economic and industrial development.” She emphasised the importance of focusing on developing plans so that electricity generated in Nepal may be used throughout the country.
Minister Bhusal also stated that the electricity tariff will be reviewed. “Our electricity bill is quite high. According to general economics, the lower the cost price, the higher the production. “The power tariff should be reconsidered,” she added, “based on my experience as a consumer, the more the use, the cheaper the cost should be. This is not the case here.” Tariffs for electricity should be adjusted.”
