The contractor for the Narayangarh-Butwal road segment has requested an extension of the deadline, claiming that many barriers have arisen during the process of the expansion of the road section along the East-West Highway. The contractor has requested an extension of the deadline.
The contractor, China Estate Engineering, stated that the road expansion project had been hampered in the initial days following the implementation of the lockdown due to the spread of the coronavirus and requested an extension of the deadline. The deadline was extended.
The Narayangarh-Butwal Road Project (eastern part) confirmed the contractor’s request for an extension of the project’s completion timeframe.
Project Manager Ramesh Kumar Dishti informed the team that the contractor has submitted all of the necessary documentation to the designated consultant in order to request an extension of the project’s deadline.
“The consultant is responsible for all of the work associated with the road expansion,” he explained, adding that “we are only responsible for monitoring and issuing orders as necessary.”
After reviewing the reasons for the request for a timeline extension, Dishti said the consultant would advise the Narayangarh-Butwal road project to extend the deadline if the reasons for the request were satisfactory.
“The road extension project is currently being evaluated. After determining the need for time in relation to advancement, the necessary procedure would be carried out “He went on to clarify further.
Despite the fact that the contractor’s side has requested a two-year extension of the project’s duration, he explained that this would not be achievable just on the basis of the request.
