    A new opportunity has emerged for the general public to acquire shares in Suryodaya Womi Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (SWMF). Dipak Sharma, one of the existing promoters of SWMF, has decided to auction off 10,000 units of promoter shares to the public.     Today, the allocation of IPO shares for Mid-Solu Hydropower Company Limited has been completed in Kathmandu at the office of the issue manager, NIC Asia Capital Limited.

    Mid-Solu Hydropower Company had initially offered 6,21,172 IPO shares at a face value of Rs 100 each to the general public. This offering was open from Bhadra 29 to Ashwin 2, 2080.

    Out of the total 7,48,400 units available, 10% (74,840 units) were allocated to Nepalese citizens working abroad, 2% (14,968 units) were reserved for the company’s employees, and 5% (37,420 units) were set aside for mutual funds. The remaining 6,21,172 units were designated for the general public, and the IPO application process for these shares has commenced today.

    Mid-Solu Hydropower Company Limited has initiated the issuance of 6,21,172 IPO shares, each with a par value of Rs. 100, starting from the 29th of Bhadra, 2080. The early closing date for this IPO issue is set for the 2nd of Ashwin, and in the event that it is not fully subscribed, the closing date may be extended up to the 12th of Ashwin, 2080.

    Out of the total 7,48,400 units of IPO shares, 10% amounting to 74,840 units has already been allocated to Nepalese citizens working abroad. Additionally, 2% (14,968 units) has been reserved for the company’s employees, and 5% of the total offered shares, equivalent to 37,420 units, has been set aside for mutual funds. The remaining 6,21,172 units are available for subscription by the general public, with the IPO opening today.

    Previously, the company had issued 7,48,400 IPO shares, which constituted 10% of the issued capital, specifically allocated to project-affected locals in Solukhumbu district from the 14th to the 30th of Shrawan, 2080.

    NIC Asia Capital Limited has been appointed as the issue manager for this IPO. Interested investors can apply for a minimum of 10 units and a maximum of 10,000 units.

    Mid-Solu Hydropower Limited has received an issuer rating of [ICRANP-IR] BB+ (pronounced ICRA NP issuer rating double B plus) from ICRA Nepal. This rating indicates a moderate risk of default in terms of meeting financial obligations on time.

    The company, initially established as a private limited entity on April 19, 2017, transitioned to a public limited company on June 30, 2021, to facilitate public participation. Currently, Mid-Solu Hydropower Limited is engaged in the development of a 9.5-MW Mid-Solu Khola Hydropower Project in Solukhumbu district, Province 1 of Nepal. This project follows a run-of-the-river (R-o-R) model and is being developed with a 40.9% probability of exceedance.

    Himalayan Capital Limited is concluding the public offering of its mutual fund scheme called “Himalayan 80-20” today, which is Bhadra 15, 2080. Initially, the offering started on the 32nd day of Shrawan and was supposed to end on the 4th day of Bhadra, 2080. However, due to a lack of sufficient applications, the closing date was extended to today.

    Out of a total of 10 crore unit shares, 15% or 1.50 crore units worth Rs. 15 crores were allocated to the fund sponsor, Himalayan Bank Limited. The remaining 8.50 crore units were made available to the general public starting from the 32nd day of Shrawan.

    Initially, the company had issued 800,000 shares worth Rs. 8 crores to people affected by the project in Dolakha District. However, only 183,380 shares, which accounts for 22.92%, were allotted to eligible applicants. As a result, the remaining 616,620 unsold shares from the project-affected locals’ quota have been combined with 2,000,000 shares (25% of the total issued capital, reserved for the general public), resulting in a total of 2,616,620 shares available for the general public.

    The allotment for Upper Lohore Hydropower Company Limited’s Initial Public Offering (IPO) was completed today at Kaji Kitchen, Battisputali, Kathmandu. NICA Asia Capital acted as the issue manager for this IPO. The company had initially issued 19,53,279 IPO shares with a face value of Rs 100 each to the public from 18th to 22nd Shrawan, 2080.

    Earlier, the company had also issued 509,804 shares worth Rs. 5.09 crores to locals affected by the project in Dailekh District. However, only 206,760 units (40.55%) of these shares were allocated to eligible applicants. As a result, the remaining 303,044 units of unsubscribed shares from the project-affected locals were combined with 19,88,236 units (39% of the total issued capital) set aside for the general public. This brought the total number of units available to the general public to 22,91,280.
