    Today, the price of fine gold in Nepal has experienced a decline of Rs. 1100 per tola, while tejabi gold has fallen by Rs. 1050 from yesterday’s price. According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association’s official website, fine gold is currently being traded at Rs. 110,000 per tola, compared to yesterday’s rate of Rs. 111,100 per tola. Tejabi gold, on the other hand, is being traded at Rs. 109,500 today, in contrast to yesterday’s rate of Rs. 110,550 per tola.

    Additionally, silver has also witnessed a decrease in price, with a drop of Rs. 5 per tola. The current trading rate for silver in the local market is Rs. 1,370 per tola, compared to yesterday’s closing rate of Rs. 1,365 per tola.

    In the international market, the current price of gold stands at $1,989.70 per ounce, while silver is trading at $23.75 per ounce.

    Ankhukhola Hydropower Company Limited (AKJCL) has released their Q3 financial report for the FY 2079/80, revealing a significant decrease of 71.59% in net profit compared to the same quarter in the previous year, with the current net profit standing at Rs. 86.52 Lakhs. Total revenue up to the third quarter of FY 2079/079 has also decreased by 11.09% to Rs. 15.4 crores. However, AKJCL will receive a grant of Rs. 4.62 crore from the Nepalese government for the installation of Ankhu Khola-1, which has not yet been included in their revenue. Additionally, the company has signed an agreement to invest 60% in Ganesh Himal Hydropower’s 20 M.W. Ankhu Khola-2 Hydropower project. The administrative and general expenses have increased by 18.37%, while the finance expenses have decreased by 7.26%. The paid-up capital of the company stands at Rs. 80 crore with a negative reserve of Rs. 23 crore in reserve fund, and the company reported an annualized EPS of Rs. 1.44 and net worth per share of Rs. 71.25.

    In the third quarter ending Chaitra 2079 (FY79/80), Goodwill Finance Limited’s net profit plummeted by 86.68 percent to Rs 1.99 crore, compared to Rs 15 crore the previous year.

    The decrease in Net Profit is attributable to a variance in other operating income, which has decreased by 46.29% due to an increase in Impairment charges and staff expenditures in this quarter.

    In the third quarter, its net interest income (NII) increased by 57.73 percent to Rs 31.5 crore. Similarly, the Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR) was 13.46 percent, with Earnings per Share (EPS) falling to 2.82 percent.

    ICRA Ratings has assigned a long-term rating of LBBB to Hathway for long-term loans totaling Rs. 147.7 million and an A3 rating to the short-term fund totaling Rs. 852.3 million.
