Seven construction companies have been placed on the Public Procurement Monitoring Office’s blacklist.
The Office issued a notice advising the companies that they had been banned for failing to complete projects according to contract.
They have been placed on a one- to three-year ban, which begins today, according to the notice. Section 65 of the Public Procurement Act of 2063 was used to make the decision.
According to the Road Department Project Directorate, Bishalnaghar, MS Indo Engineering Project Corporation of Maharastra, India, has been blacklisted for three years.
Similarly, Land Ring Construction Service in Kathmandu has been blacklisted for two years on the request of Nagarjun Municipality.
The following companies have been blacklisted for a year: Bipin Vet Centre, Kashyapati Construction Service, Rachana Trade International, Ninlantha Construction Service and Suppliers, and Adventure the Anand.
Companies on the government’s blacklist would be prohibited from government contracts and construction projects.
