Ramagya Chaturvedi, a former Chairperson of the Nepal Airlines Corporation, has been discovered dead in his home.
In the early hours of Thursday morning, Chaturvedi died after jumping from a house under construction in the Kathmandu suburb of Chabahil, according to police. Chaturvedi, 74, committed himself by jumping off the roof of his residence about 7 a.m.
He had been residing in Bulbule in Chabahil, Kathmandu Metropolitan City-7, where he had been working. In order to conduct an autopsy, the body was taken to T.U. Teaching Hospital, Maharajgunj. However, it is still unclear as to why he decided to jump off the building.
In 2011, he was sentenced to one and a half years in prison for corruption.
