It was announced by NMB Bank that it is the first ever bank in Nepal to obtain this prestigious accolade, which is a significant milestone in the country’s financial history. It was announced during a press conference held on Wednesday at the Everest Hotel, which coincided with the formal announcement from The Banker Magazine, which was made the previous day in London.
Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba presented the award to the Chairman of the bank, as well as the bank’s board of directors and the CEO, on behalf of the whole banking community. “We are thrilled to have received this award, which is a testimonial to the hard work and devotion of our employees, as well as the faith placed in us by our customers, regulators, the guidance of the NMB Board, and the support of all stakeholders,” said Sunil KC, CEO of NMB Bank.
“Our efforts during Covid-19 to ensure that our customers receive uninterrupted services through our digital Omni-channel platforms, which have set industry standards, as well as our efforts to support the communities in which we operate during these critical times, have all contributed to the Bank’s success,” KC added further.
