NEPSE rises 56.73 points to 2,415.55 points.


The NEPSE index ended the day at 2,415.55, up 56.73 points from yesterday’s close. This is a 2.41 percent increase in the index. Yesterday, the index had dropped 17.93 points.

There were 226 scrips traded in 34,217 deals. The Float index is now at 166.00, up 2.33 percent, while the Sensitive index is now at 462.52, up 2.51 percent.

Himalayan Distillery Limited (HDL), with a turnover of Rs. 14.58 crores and a market price of Rs. 6,400 per share, had the highest turnover. The most active stock was Hydroelectricity Investment and Company Limited (HIDCL).




Green Bank Limited (GRDBL) increased by 10% and crossed the positive circuit breaker. Meanwhile, Gurkhas Finance Limited (GUFL) dropped the highest, falling 8.89 percent to Rs. 925.







Today’s indices gained across all sectors. The sector “Others” saw the greatest increase of 3.88 percent.




Highlights from the Technical Analysis

The index began trading at 2,360.33 and did not below that level. The index then finished at 2,415.55, its intraday high.

The turnover value was Rs. 2.383 Arba, with a total of 4,974,253 shares changing hands. This is a decrease from the previous day’s turnover of Rs. 2.464 Arba.

The RSI (Relative Strength Index) is currently at 39.20. Yesterday’s reading was 32.79. From below the “30” mark, the RSI has split up. Oversold are indicated by a zone below 30. Breaking over 50 on the RSI would imply -term positive momentum. Meanwhile, with the MACD reading at -90.13, both the MACD line and the signal line are negative, i.e. below zero. Yesterday, this reading was -94.86.
