The NEPSE index ended the day at 2,889.03, down 40.26 points from the previous day’s closing price. The index had dropped 18.54 points the day before.
The index began the day at 2,933.23 and reached an intraday high of 2,936.77 at the close. Even though it dropped as low as 2,882.10, it eventually closed at 2,889.03.
A total of 10,557,866 shares were traded, resulting in a turnover of Rs. 5.358 Arba (Rs. 5.358 Arba per share). This represents an increase above the previous day’s turnover of Rs. 5.195 Arba. A total of 75,895 transactions took place involving 222 scrips.
The Arun Valley Hydropower Development Company Limited (AHPC) had the greatest turnover, with Rs. 22.14 crores in revenue, and closed at a market price of Rs. 675.30 per share, which was the most in the industry. The most actively traded units were those of the Nabil Balanced Fund – 2 (NBF2).
The most significant gainers were Manakamana Smart Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (MKLB), which gained 8.23 percent, and Rastriya Beema Company Limited Promoter Share (RBCLPO), which gained 7.3 percent.
Today, every industry has suffered a setback. The finance industry suffered the most, losing 2.98 percent.
