In the first five months of the current fiscal year, Chitwan National Park has received more than 51,000 tourists.


Over 51,000 people visited Chitwan National Park (CNP) in first five months of the current year 2021/22, which began in mid-July and ended in mid-December.

Ganesh Prasad Tiwari, CNP’s information and assistant conservation officer, stated that 51,304 people visited the national park this time period. According to him, biggest number of visitors was registered during the months of mid-October and the beginning of November. From mid-October to mid-November, a total of 21,6 visitors came to national park, followed by 19,580 visitors from mid-November to mid-December.

Similarly, 5,835 visitors visited CNP month of mid-September to mid-October, 2,977 during the month of mid-August to September, and 1906 during the month of mid-July to mid-August.

According to Tiwari, the CNP has so far collected Rs 12,995,1 in revenue from visitors who have paid the entry fee.
