Shyam Sundarlal Kakshapati, a prominent Nepali entrepreneur and founder of Nanglo Bakery, has passed away while battling oral cancer in Bangkok.
Kakshapati, who had been battling oral cancer for a long period of time, died, according to Araniko Rajbhandari, president of the Nepal Restaurant and Bar Association (Reban).
According to Rajbhandari, Kakshapati was instrumental in the establishment of Nepal’s restaurant and café culture. Kakshapati founded Reban and previously served as president of the Nepal Hotel Association (HAN).
He is also the director of Shubhatara School, which was shuttered lately owing to a coronavirus outbreak.
His wife, son, and daughter survive him.
