The Asian Development Bank (ADB) has awarded Laxmi Bank with the title of Leading Partner Bank Award in Nepal for the second year in a row as part of its Trade and Supply Chain Finance Program, which is funded by the World Bank (TSCFP). This honour is given in acknowledgment of the fact that ADB has collaborated on the greatest number of transactions.
The prizes are given in recognition of engagement with the Asian Development Bank from July 1, 2020, to June 30, 2021. During this time span, Laxmi Bank has been the most active partner bank from Nepal, covering trade transactions of all sizes for both large corporations and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). Awarded the title of “Leading Partner Bank in Nepal,” Laxmi Bank’s efforts to build capacity in trade finance, operational efficiency, financial health and risk management have been recognised.
The prize was presented at a virtual award ceremony that was arranged lately as a result of the current situation surrounding the COVID-19 controversy. According to a press release, almost 200 representatives from partner banks attended the celebration, during which 25 institutions were honoured in 20 different categories.
