BYD has delivered the country’s first electric ambulance.

The first electric ambulance BYD T3 in Nepal was successfully delivered to KIST Medical College and Teaching Hospital on November 30th, 2021, on the campus of KIST Medical College and Teaching Hospital in Gwarko, Lalitpur by Cimex Inc Pvt Ltd, an authorized distributor of BYD Auto Co Ltd in Nepal.

An official statement issued by the company stated that the electric ambulance was specially designed with the COVID-19 crisis in and that it is well-equipped with an oxygen tank, a ventilator, an ECG monitor, as well as a collapsible stretcher.

A new electric ambulance has been installed at the KIST Medical College and Teaching Hospital, making it the first health-care provider in Nepal to do so.” As Amish Pathak, chief of operations and management at KIST Medical College and Teaching Hospital, explained in a statement: “Adopting electric mobility will not only reduce our impact on the environment by lowering our CO2 levels, but it will also that patients receive the highest of safety and comfort.”
