Agriculture Sector Receives Rs 45.09 Billion


The agricultural budget has been boosted by the government. Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Poudel presented the budget for fiscal year 2078/79, allocating Rs. 45.09 billion for the development agriculture and livestock. Similarly, Rs. 12 billion has been set aside for the procurement of agricultural chemical fertilizers.

The government has it a policy to provide the infrastructure needed to support organic farming. As a result, Finance Minister Poudel has pledged a 50 percent for the development grocery stores.

The federal government is planning to land banks in each state and put them into operation in the 2019 fiscal year.

Similarly, Finance Minister Poudel stated all lands will be mapped within years.
