After a turbulent session, Nepse closes almost perfectly flat.


Trading on the benchmark Nepal Stock Exchange began in the negative region with a drop of over 33 points. During the trading session on Monday, the market was generally in a state of flux between a positive negative tone. Ultimately, the Nepse index ended the day with a loss of 2.66 points, closing at 2518.99. On the day in question, only Rs. 3.125 billion worth of shares were traded.

The manufacturing sector had an increase of 2.07 percent, indicating a positive trend.

The trading, development bank, hydropower, finance, other sectors all ended the day on a good note, but with only a slight increase. The Banking, Hotel, and Tourism, Non-Life Insurance, Microfinance, Life Insurance, Mutual Fund, and Investment segments, on the other hand, concluded the trading day in the red, albeit with a minor decrease.

The most actively traded stocks were those of Himalayan Distillery Ltd Nabil Bank Ltd. It was worth more than Rs. 263 million and Rs. 253 million in rupees to exchange the shares, respectively. Nepal Reinsurance Company Ltd, Manjushree Finance Ltd, Nepal Life Insurance Co. Ltd, and Shivam Ltd all received more than Rs. 128 million in receivables. Nepal Reinsurance Company Ltd received more than Rs. 128 million in receivables. The amounts are Rs.124 million, Rs.99 million, and Rs.83 million, respectively. On the day in question, the shares of Madhya Bhotekoshi Jalbidhyut Company Ltd reached the upper circuit of 10 percent. Among the companies that saw their stock prices rise were Nepal Hydro Developer Ltd, Janaki Finance Ltd, Goodwill Finance Co. Ltd. The companies had their stock prices rise by 5.36 percent, 4.85 percent, and 4.28 percent respectively. Major rises were seen in the shares of Ghalemdi Hydro Limited, Shree Investment Finance Limited, Shivam Cements Ltd, and Mountain Energy Nepal Ltd. All of these companies had gains of more than 3 percent.

Gurkhas Finance Ltd, on the other hand, had a 9.99 percent decline. In the same period, Samling Power Company Ltd, Mailung Khola Jal Bidyut Company Ltd, United IDI Mardi RB Hydropower Ltd all had their stock prices fall by 6.04 percent, $4.88 percent, and 4.65 percent. The other stocks that suffered losses on the day were Prabhu Select Fund, Kisan Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Ltd, and Soaltee Hotel Ltd. Prabhu Select Fund was the only one to lose money on the day.

According to the ARKS technical analysis, the index produced a little spinning top candlestick, which mostly reflected the uncertainty surrounding the market. The current state of the market has investors wary of taking on a large number of long positions. Similarly, the 2,500 support level should be closely examined in order to determine whether Nepse is likely to move. Momentum indicators show indecision since a significant selling signal has not yet been spotted.
